I like writing; it comes quite naturally to me but poetry is somewhat different. It is a bit like my art, it can’t be forced and just has to evolve if the mind wills it.
When it does happen it is inevitably poetry in is simplest form and I suspect that loving Dr Seuss as a kid and as a vaguely grown up (I still have the books and every child should have the Sleep Book read to them at some stage) is absolutely to blame.
I am not sure if I have ever shared any of my poems on a
blog post before so here is a little selection from over the years.
